1 cup [200 g] dark brown sugar, packed
3/4 cup [170 g] unsalted butter, room temperature
2/3 cup [210 g] unsulphured molasses
1 egg, room temperature
1 tsp vanilla extract
3 1/2 cups [440 g] all-purpose flour, spooned and leveled
1/4 cup [35 g] cornstarch
2 tsp ground cinnamon
2 tsp ground ginger
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp ground cloves
